Fill in your profile from your resume
Let the model draft your candidate profile from your resume, then review it before you save.
In short
Auto-fill reads your resume and suggests your candidate profile - about you, skills, links, experience and education. You choose what to use and edit it before saving. Nothing is stored until you press "Save profile".
Before you start
- Who: the candidate, for their own profile.
- Plan: auto-fill counts one document processed on your plan. On the platform's key it also uses a little of the AI budget; with your own key it does not.
- First: upload your resume as a PDF, DOCX or plain-text file.
Steps
- Open your professional profile: Settings › Profile, then "Edit professional profile".
- Under CV, upload or replace your CV (PDF, DOCX or plain text).
- Press "Auto-fill from CV". The button reads "Reading your CV…" while it works.
- Review "Suggested from your CV", in groups: About, Skills, Links, Experience and Education.
- Press "Use" on a group, or "Use all", to copy it into the form, or leave it out.
- Each part the resume filled says "filled from your CV by AI - check it" until you change it or save. Press "Undo" beside one to put back what you had there.
- Edit what you like, then press "Save profile".
Result: your profile holds what you chose. Organizations see it when you apply.
Good to know
- It reads the first 20,000 characters. The summary is written in the third person without your name, and skills come back as short names, as a posting would list them.
- Organizations see what you save, not what was suggested. Check the years of experience and the skills in particular.
- Your resume text is sent to the AI provider to produce the draft.
- Auto-fill counts one document processed on your plan. On the platform's key it also uses a little of the AI budget; with your own key it does not.
- You can apply without a resume, a profile or auto-fill.
