Download a report
Save a report as Excel, PDF, Word, CSV or Markdown.
In short
The Download menu saves a report as an Excel workbook or a PDF - the first two choices - or, under "Other formats", as Word, CSV or Markdown. A download is a fresh run of what is on screen and is never saved. A saved report downloads from its stored copy.
Before you start
- Who: anyone who can run the report. A saved report downloads from its stored copy.
- Plan: Analytics is part of every plan, Free included.
- First: set the target, period and filters. The file matches what is on screen.
Steps
- Open a report and set its target, period and AI summary.
- Press "Download".
- Choose "Excel (.xlsx)" or "PDF (.pdf)", or open "Other formats" for "Word (.docx)", "CSV (.csv)" or "Markdown (.md)". The file downloads, named after the report with a timestamp.
Good to know
- Two downloads never overwrite each other, because the name holds a timestamp.
- With the AI summary ticked, an Excel, PDF or Word download asks the model for one, like a run.
- A saved report offers the same formats, built from the stored copy, so the file matches what was saved and not what the data says today.
- Dashboards and a figure's page have a "Download" menu too, with Excel and PDF first and the filters you set. See /help/home/download-a-screen.
- What happens next: the file lands in your browser's downloads and is not stored in {{brand}}. Delete the file yourself when you no longer need it.
A downloaded file is outside the platform It holds everything the report shows - project and endpoint names, who tested what, assignee names, applicant headlines, member lists. Once it is on your disk or in an email, none of the platform's access rules apply to it.
If something goes wrong
- "The download failed": try again; a very long period may time out, so try a shorter one.
