Choose a report
Every report, what it covers, what it runs against and its default period.
In short
The "Catalog" lists every report, grouped by category, with ready-made recipes on top. Each report covers one module's numbers, runs against one thing or the whole workspace, and starts with a default period you can change.
Before you start
- Who: anyone signed in sees the reports of the products that are on for them. Team activity, Weekly summary and Platform growth inside an organization, and Team comparison, need "See analytics". A report or figure shows only what you could open yourself. A site administrator's role adds nothing inside an organization.
- Plan: Analytics is part of every plan, Free included.
- First: nothing. The catalog shows what you can run now.
Steps
- Open Analytics › "Reports". "Catalog" is the first of its four parts: "Catalog", "Saved", "Scheduled" and "Rules".
- Start from one of the recipes under "Start from a recipe", open the question you have, or find a report with "Search reports". To see only one product's reports, choose it under "Product" or open its tile under "By product".
- Click a card to open the report.
Good to know
- The foot of a card says what a report needs. "Opens straight away" means it has no target and covers what you can see in your active workspace. "Project: all, or choose one" (or Board, and so on) means a target is optional; "Project: you choose one" means it needs one.
- Team activity and Weekly summary run only inside an organization, for people who hold analytics.read there: Organization Admins and Managers by default. Platform growth too, inside an organization; it covers the whole platform only for a site admin with no organization selected.
- Team comparison, under "How is the team working together?", appears for people who see the organization's analytics; see Compare teams.
- Code quality counts only the findings you may see - your own and the failing checks of this workspace you may open - and says Nothing to report until there are some.
- Rules, beside Catalog, Saved and Scheduled, is your own list of what the system is meant to do. Open a rule to add its evidence, mark it as checked today or raise a finding against it; Code quality then names the rules open findings say are broken. Nobody else sees your rules. See /help/analytics/business-rules.
- The recipes show only those you can run now: the report must exist and its product must be on for you. See /help/analytics/report-recipes.
- "By product" shows one tile per product that is on, with its number of reports. With no product on, it says so and offers "Choose products".
If something goes wrong
- A report is grayed out with "Turned off for you": its module is off. Turn it on in Settings › Products.
- "This report needs a project" (or a board, a cycle): pick a target first.
