Read usage and adoption
Understand the usage section: who can see it, its period and its comparison.
In short
The usage figures answer how the product is used. They show how many people there are and how many got going, and who was active and came back. They also show which organizations or teams are busy, which modules people adopt, which plan limits they hit and what AI is doing. Each figure shows how it moved against the period before.
Before you start
- Who: "See analytics" in an organization; a site admin sees the platform. Any other member is told the analytics are for admins.
- Plan: Analytics is part of every plan, Free included.
- First: choose "Usage" in the dashboard switcher.
Set the period and comparison
- Open Analytics and choose "Usage" in the dashboard switcher in the title. It shows the last 30 days.
- Choose "Period": the last 7, 30 or 90 days, the last 12 months, or "Custom range" for a first and last day.
- Leave "Compare with the previous period" ticked to set every figure against the same number of days immediately before; untick it to see the figures alone.
Example On 30 October the last 30 days is 1 to 30 October, compared with 1 to 30 September. Active people 120 against 100 shows +20% in green.
Scope and module
Site admins can scope the usage figures to the platform or one organization. A module chosen in Module makes every figure count only the days people used it; Activated then means a first action in that module. Module adoption still lists every module, with the chosen one marked.
Good to know
- Every figure is counted from what the product records, such as minutes the app is open and records people create. Only AI cost is estimated.
- Green or red says whether a change is good news for that figure.
- A day is a whole UTC day. A period is at most 366 days, and one ending in the future ends today.
