Attach evidence and export reports
Add a screenshot or log to a run, and export an Excel history or Word report.
In short
When the captured response is not enough, attach a screenshot, log or other file to a run. Export the project's testing as an Excel history of every run, or a readable Word or PDF report.
Before you start
- Who: attaching evidence needs the matching permission on the project; exporting needs View.
- Plan: Traceability is part of the paid plans.
- First: open a run in "Coverage".
Steps
- Open a run in "Coverage" and attach the file.
- To export, open the project's … menu on Requests and choose "Download report". "Excel (.xlsx)" gives the full run-by-run history, "PDF (.pdf)" a readable report, and under "Other formats" "Word (.docx)" gives the same report as a document.
Good to know
- Creating or deleting evidence needs the matching permission.
- The Excel Summary sheet has one row per saved request: group, request, method, URL, result, runs, who tested, last duration, last run and description. Run history lists every run, newest first.
- The Word report is the API project health report for the last 30 days. It holds headline numbers, passed and failed requests and average time by group, runs per day, who tested, what is failing now and every request's result.
- A request's description appears next to it in Traceability and both exports.
If something goes wrong
- The source link is refused: a project's source link must be a full http or https address.
