Read a Feature card
See where a feature stands, what happens next and why, and what it has cost, on one card.
In short
A Feature card on a product board opens on its Overview. It shows the stage, the one next step and who it waits for, and the numbers a manager asks for. Three more tabs hold the details: "Design & plan", "Code & checks" and "Activity". "More" holds the rest.
Steps
- Open a Feature card on a product board. It opens on "Overview".
- Read the "Stage" bar. It shows the time spent in each stage. A stage marked "auto" is one {{brand}} moves the card through from facts.
- Read "Next step". It says the one thing to do, or who the card waits for, such as "Waiting for a person" or "Waiting for the checks".
- Press the button in the box when you are the one who acts, for example "Approve design" or "Choose builders and approve".
- Read "The numbers" for tasks done, checks passed, pull requests, time tracked, AI tokens, estimated cost and lead time.
Result: you know the stage, the next step and the cost without opening another tab.

What the status words mean
Good to know
- A card moved past a check by a person carries "Moved without proof" and the reason. See /help/boards/test-and-ready.
- A guest sees Overview and Activity only, with no "Used".
- Cost is an estimate from a price list, never a bill.
- When the design or the plan changes after approval, "Review the impact" shows what the change touches before the plan updates.
If something goes wrong
- "This board does not run the product flow" - the board's manager has to turn it on. See /help/boards/start-a-product-board.
- "Connect a design first" - the board has no design connected. A manager connects one in "Board settings".
