See where the time went

See how long each feature took from idea to live, where it waited, and how the team and each release did.

In short

Every Feature card keeps its journey: the days it spent in each stage from Idea to Live, and how much of that it waited on someone or something.

The board adds the journeys up for the team and for each release, and names the biggest delay in one sentence.

Before you start

• Who: anyone who can open the board.
• Plan: any plan with Boards.
• First: a product board with Feature cards. A journey starts when a card moves (see /help/boards/how-a-feature-moves).

One feature

1. Open a Feature card.
2. On "Overview", open "Details" and find "Journey".
3. Read one bar per stage, split into "Working" and "Waiting". Below the bars: "Idea to live", "Time tracked", "Checks", "Bugs" and the biggest delay.

The team and a release

1. On the product board, press "Reports".
2. Under "Feature journeys", read "Idea to live", "Went live", "Slowest stage" and "Time waiting", with the trend against the period before.
3. Press "Open the report" for every feature of the period, or "Release report" for one release.

What counts as waiting

A card waits when its next step waits on a person, another feature, a release or a free agent. AI drafting, writing code and running checks count as work.

Good to know

• Reports name no people and show no tracked time. Time on a card shows only to people who may see it (see /help/time-tracker/who-sees-your-time).
• Your client sees a plain version on their board: only the stages and the days.
