Spot duplicate cards and draft acceptance criteria
See cards that already say the same thing while you type a title, and let AI draft acceptance criteria that you choose from.
In short
While you type a new card's title, the board shows cards that already read like it, so you can open one instead of adding a duplicate. On a card, AI can draft acceptance criteria that you choose from before anything is added.
Before you start
- Who: similar cards show for anyone who can add a card. Drafting acceptance criteria needs "Change cards".
- Plan: the draft uses your plan's AI allowance or your own AI key. Similar cards use no AI.
- First: AI must be on for your organization and for Boards. Without it, write the lines yourself.
Steps
- Type a title for a new card.
- If "Looks like a card you already have" appears, select a card to open it instead.
- Open a card you can change and select "Draft acceptance criteria" under its checklist.
- Read the draft of up to eight short lines and uncheck any you do not want.
- Select "Add to checklist", or on a story "Add to Done when".
Result: only the lines you kept are added to the card.
Good to know
- The similar-cards line shows up to three cards. "Same title" marks an exact match and "Done" a finished card; a card on another board says which. It never stops you from adding the card.
- An open card shows "Cards that read like this one" under its description. Only boards you can read in the same workspace are looked at, and no AI is used for this.
- The draft reads the card's title, description and checklist. It uses your own AI key or your plan's AI allowance, like the assistant.
If something goes wrong
- The draft is not offered: AI is switched off for your organization, Boards is kept from AI, or no key is set up. The card says why; write the lines yourself.
