Keep references current

See which steps refer to a component, a design, a card or a test that changed since they were reviewed, where a design or component is used, and move between linked designs.

In short

A workflow step remembers how each record it refers to looked when it was last reviewed. References shows what changed since - a renamed component, a new revision, a card's status - and Used in shows where a design or component is used.

Before you start

Review changed references

  1. Open a workflow, choose "Review" and then "References". The number beside it is how many steps need review.
  2. Read what changed, and open the record to look closer.
  3. Press "Mark reviewed" on a step, or "Mark all reviewed" once you have checked them all.

See where something is used

  1. In a design with nothing selected, open the "Links" tab of the properties panel and find "Used in", or open a component's page.
  2. Read the designs that draw the component or refer to the design, and what the design itself refers to.
  3. Open one; it opens on the step or shape that uses it.

In a step's inspector, "Designs using it" lists the architectures that draw the step's component. Open a sub-flow from its step, and the workflows you came from stay in the breadcrumbs.
