Bring your work from Trello, Jira, Postman and others
One way in to every importer: Trello, Jira and spreadsheets become boards; Postman, OpenAPI, HAR, Insomnia and Bruno become API Tester requests.
In short
"Coming from Trello, Jira or Postman?" opens a menu of the tools you can bring work from. Pick one and the right importer opens with that format chosen. Every import shows what it will add first, and can be undone.
Before you start
- Who: signed in. On an existing board only its managers can import; for API Tester you need Edit on the project you import into.
- Plan: every plan. Imported cards count against the plan's card limit and a new project against its project limit.
- First: export from the other tool: Trello as JSON, Jira as CSV, a spreadsheet as CSV or Excel, Postman as a collection, OpenAPI or HAR as a file.
Steps
- Find "Coming from Trello, Jira or Postman?" at the foot of Home's Get started tile or under Settings › "Integrations". It is also under "More ways to start" on an empty Boards list and under "Import…" on an empty API Tester project. Ctrl+K and typing "Import from" works too.
- Choose the tool, such as "Trello" or "Postman".
- For Boards, name the new board (it starts "From Trello") and create it; the import opens on it. For API Tester, the import dialog opens.
- Choose your file, check the preview and import.
Result: the cards or requests are in place, and the import can be undone from its history.
What each source becomes
Good to know
- Only the tools of modules you use are offered.
- On an existing board, only its managers can import.
If something goes wrong
- The menu offers no board tools: Boards is off for you. Turn it on under Settings › "Products".
