Put a hiring page live in one minute
Say what the role is in a few words, read the draft, publish - and get a link to share and your careers page.
In short
Describe a role in a few words, read the draft AI writes, and publish. You get a link to share and, in an organization, your careers page. Nothing is saved or published until you choose to.
Before you start
- Who: In an organization you need "Post and manage vacancies" (an Organization Admin or Manager holds it; a Member or Viewer does not). In your Personal Workspace you hire in your own name and hold all of it. Who may post in an organization also follows its posting policy.
- Plan: Jobs is part of every plan, Free included. Open roles count against your plan, drafts are free and closing a role frees its place (Plan & usage shows the limit). Drafting uses one AI answer from your plan.
- First: switch to the workspace that will hire. In an organization, set its location, country and currency under Settings, General so every new role starts with them.
Steps
- Open Jobs, switch to "Hiring" if the title says "Find work", and press "Post a role" (before your first role it says "Post your first role"). Home's hiring tile and the Hire someone goal open it too.
- Under "How do you want to start?", choose "Describe it" and write the role in a few words - the job, the level, where it is worked and what matters most.
- Press "Draft the role". The draft opens in the role composer.
- Read it, change what you like, and press "Publish role" - or save it as a draft.
- Copy the share link, or press "Share on LinkedIn".
Other ways to start
- "Template" offers common roles with a description to edit. Templates use no AI.
- "Paste it" reads the text in your browser to fill the form; AI drafts from it only if you press "Draft with AI".
- "Open the full form" shows every field at once, for when you know exactly what to write.
- Where AI is not available, the step opens on the templates, so hiring never waits for AI. If AI could not draft, your own words are kept as the description and the screen says so.
- With no role yet, Roles also offers "See a sample pipeline": a role with five example candidates, marked Example.
What the last step says
Good to know
- Drafting uses one AI answer from your plan and sends your words to the AI service; the screen says so first. Describe the role only, never a person.
- If the organization's careers page is off, someone who manages hiring can switch it on right there; anyone else is told who can.
- A careers page belongs to an organization. A role posted in your Personal Workspace is reached by its own link, and the screen offers to create an organization if you hire with a team.
- In Hiring settings › Careers, "Group roles by team" shows each open role under the team it hires for, with a link per team. Hidden teams are never named on the page.
- A listed open role you manage shows "Job search listing" on its page: whether job search engines can list it and what would help it show more often. A remote role needs the country applicants may live in, an on-site or hybrid role a location or country; pay, a closing date and a fuller description are recommended.
- What happens next: a live role is open to applications at once. If your organization asks for approval, the role waits and nothing about it is public. Close the role from its … menu any time.
Set up your careers page
- Open Jobs › "Hiring" › "More" › "Hiring settings" and choose "Careers page".
- Switch on "Show the careers page". Anyone can open it. It lists the roles your organization has open on the public board, never a draft, a role waiting for approval or a link-only one.
- Write an "Introduction" in plain text, up to 2,000 characters, and list your "Benefits", one per line.
- Choose the "Accent color": {{brand}}'s color, or "Your own color" written as #RRGGBB.
- To show your open roles on your own site, switch on "Let our site show our open roles". Press "Copy the snippet" and paste it into a page of your site.
- Check the "Preview", then save. "Careers page saved" confirms it.
Result: "Your careers page" shows its address, with "Copy the link" and "Open it". Each role on the page opens its own page here.
- You can list up to 12 benefits of up to 120 characters each: "List at most 12 benefits." and "Keep each benefit to 120 characters.".
- White text must stay readable on the accent color. A color that is too light says "White text isn't readable enough on that color - choose a darker one.". A wrong form says "Write the color as #RRGGBB, for example #1D4ED8.".
- Only people who manage hiring in the organization change the page. A careers page belongs to an organization: in a Personal Workspace the screen asks you to switch to one.
- Visitors can narrow the page by workplace, kind of work and location. Each choice shows how many roles it would show, and "Share these roles" shares the page exactly as narrowed: the link preview names the choices and lists the roles they show.
- Hiring settings has four parts: "How you hire" (CV summaries, AI drafts, offer approval, how long applications are kept, templates), "Approval", "Candidate emails" and "Careers page".
If something goes wrong
- "Only the people this organization lets post vacancies can draft them.": ask an organization admin about its posting policy.
- AI was not available: the description keeps your own words. Edit it and publish.
- The plan's open roles are used up: close a role or keep this one as a draft.
