Answer an invitation to a talent pool

Decide whether a company may keep your details in mind for future roles, renew it, or leave the pool at any time.

In short

A company may ask to keep you in mind for future roles, for a number of months. Nothing is kept unless you say yes, being in the pool never applies you to anything, and you can leave whenever you like.

Before you start

Who: the candidate the company asked. The link works without signing in.
Plan: none.
First: read "What is kept" before you answer. The company keeps nothing unless you say yes.

Steps

Open the link in the company's email.
Read "What is kept".
Press "Yes, keep me in mind" or "No, thanks".

Result: "You're in the talent pool", with the date they keep you until. Later the page offers "Keep me for another N months" and "Leave the talent pool".

Good to know

The company may invite you to a role; you choose whether to apply.
Leaving deletes your place and what was kept at once.
To change your mind: use "Leave the talent pool" on the same page. Your place and what was kept are deleted at once.
