Post a role
Post a role for an organization or in your own name, publish it or keep it as a draft.
In short
Post a role for the workspace you are in: an organization, or your own name in your Personal Workspace. Publish it to open applications, or keep it as a private draft.
Before you start
- Who: In an organization you need "Post and manage vacancies" (an Organization Admin or Manager holds it; a Member or Viewer does not). In your Personal Workspace you hire in your own name and hold all of it.
- Plan: Jobs is part of every plan, Free included. Open roles count against your plan, drafts are free and closing a role frees its place (Plan & usage shows the limit).
- First: the title and the description are required to publish; location, pay, deadline and skills make the role easier to find.
Post a role
- Open Jobs, switch to "Hiring" and press "Post a role". Choose "Describe it", "Paste it" or "Template" - or press "Open the full form" to write every field yourself.
- In the full form, optionally press "Start from…" to fill it from a template, a recent role or a job post you paste.
- Give the role a title (up to 200 characters) and a description (up to 10,000). Location, country, deadline and pay are one click away.
- Add skills.
- Press "Publish role" to open it, or "Save draft" to keep it private.
Good to know
- Hiring lists the roles of the workspace you are in only.
- In an organization a role carries the organization's name and logo. Who may post follows its posting policy (admins only, managers, or every member), and everyone with the hiring permission there - admins and managers by default - can manage it.
- In your Personal Workspace you say who is hiring, and the role is yours alone.
- In an organization, Team files the role under one of its teams, or the Whole organization. You can pick only a team you can see; a role linked to a planned position with no team takes the position's team.
- An organization's location, country and currency start every new role; set them in the organization's settings, under General. Pay can be stated per hour, day, week, month or year.
- A published role tells everyone whose job alert it matches.
- Open roles count against your plan: Free allows 10 at a time, Pro 100, Business and Enterprise no limit. Drafts are free, and closing a role frees its place.
- What happens next: a published role is listed on the public board, unless its visibility or your organization's policy says otherwise. A draft stays private to you and your hiring team.
If something goes wrong
- Posting or reopening is refused because the plan is full: close a role first, or keep this one as a draft.
- "Only the people this organization lets post vacancies can draft them.": ask an organization admin.
- "Approving vacancies is for an organization's roles.": approval applies only in an organization that asks for it.

Give someone a role on one team
People who manage hiring reach every role of the organization. To let someone work on one team's roles only, give them a team role in Jobs › "Hiring" › "More" › "Hiring settings" › "Team roles". It reaches only the roles filed under that team.
- Viewer: reads the team's roles, pipelines and candidates.
- Interviewer: also comments on candidates. Feedback stays hidden until they send theirs.
- Approver: also approves the team's roles before they open.
- Recruiter: works with candidates - moves them, writes to them, books interviews and prepares offers.
- Hiring manager: also posts, edits and closes the team's roles, and gives team roles below their own.
- A role that changes something needs an organization role that does more than read. Otherwise it counts as Interviewer.
