Verified profile
Submit evidence of your work, have a reviewer accept it, and see how accepted evidence becomes a skill score.
In short
Verified skills turns evidence of your work into a score out of 100 per skill. You submit a short, safe summary of something you did; a reviewer accepts or rejects it; only accepted evidence counts. Scores summarize platform evidence and do not guarantee seniority.
Before you start
- Who: anyone with an account can submit evidence. A reviewer with the hiring permission in the organization (admins and managers by default) decides; nobody reviews their own.
- Plan: none.
- First: choose the skill, and write a summary with no secrets, internal links or customer data.
Submit evidence
- Open Jobs & hiring › "Find work" › "Profile" › Verified skills.
- Pick the skill.
- Under "What you did", write a safe summary, up to 500 characters - no secrets, internal links or customer data.
- Press "Submit for review". It shows as Self reported · Pending and counts for nothing until a reviewer accepts it.
The summary is what others read A reviewer sees it, and so does anyone you share your profile with once it is accepted and shown. Never paste credentials, internal links or a customer's name. The http:// or https:// start of a web address is removed; the rest is kept.
How a score is worked out
Only accepted evidence counts. Each item is worth 12 × quality × (0.5 + complexity ÷ 2) points, where the reviewer rates quality and complexity from 0 to 1. Points are added per skill and capped at 100. Two items from the same source count once, the stronger one.
Example: three accepted items at quality 1 and complexity 1 are worth 12 each, so the skill scores 36 - Intermediate. A fourth at quality 0.5 and complexity 0 adds 3, for 39.
Good to know
- The skills are API Testing, Manual Testing, Test Automation, Regression Testing, Security Testing, Performance Testing, Bug Reporting and Developer Quality Contributions. Each card shows a score, a level and the version of the scoring rules.
- Evidence submitted inside an organization is reviewed by someone with the hiring permission there (admins and managers by default); evidence from your Personal Workspace by a site admin. Nobody reviews their own. Reviewers find it under Jobs › Hiring › "More" › "Skill reviews".
- An organization can choose teams to review evidence under Hiring settings › "Approval" › "Who reviews skill evidence". Then only members of those teams who manage hiring review it; anyone else with the hiring permission is told so.
- Accepted evidence becomes Company verified. Rejected evidence stays listed as Rejected and never scores.
- Scores are recalculated whenever a reviewer decides; "Refresh scores" recalculates on demand. Each change is kept as a dated snapshot.
If something goes wrong
- "Say what you did in a sentence or two.": the summary is empty.
- A skill reads Beginner although evidence is listed: that evidence is pending or rejected.
