Use a team's dashboard and bring a team back

See a team's figures on its page, put people in teams at once, and bring back a team deleted by mistake.

In short

Every team page has a dashboard: tiles with the team's figures - its work from other modules and its people, such as who joined or left and the head count each month. Its leads choose the tiles. A team deleted by mistake can be brought back for 30 days. And an organization can put people in teams at once instead of inviting them.

Before you start

Find your way around a team's page

The open tab is part of the page's address, so a link opens the same tab. A team's details, the organization's settings and someone's profile save themselves a moment after each change; the line above the fields says Saved. If someone else saved it first, you are asked whether to reload theirs or keep yours - nothing is overwritten unseen.

Use the team dashboard

  1. Open the organization and pick the team in the tree.
  2. Open the "Dashboard" tab, then choose "Edit".
  3. Choose "Add tile" and pick a figure - for example "People who joined a team" or "Team head count".
  4. Move or resize the tiles, then choose "Save". If someone else saved first, choose whether to reload or keep yours.

Bring a team back

  1. Right after deleting a team, choose "Undo" in the message at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Later, open "Recently deleted" under the team tree and choose "Bring back" beside the team.
  3. The team returns with its people who are still members and with the sub-teams that moved up when it was deleted. Things that were filed under it stay where they went.

Put people in teams at once

  1. Open the organization's Settings and choose "Policies".
  2. Turn on "Put people in teams directly". It saves itself; the line above the policies says Saved.
  3. From now on, "Add members" on a team puts people in it at once, and each of them gets a notice.

Keep members out of name search

  1. Open the organization's Settings and choose "Policies".
  2. Turn on "Keep members out of name search".
  3. People who share no organization with a member can no longer find them by name. A member who also belongs to an organization without this switch stays findable, and a full email address always finds them.
