Switch between workspaces
Choose your Personal Workspace or an organization and see what changes.
In short
The workspace control in the header shows whose data is on screen: your Personal Workspace or an organization. Switching changes which boards, projects, vacancies and Chat groups you see, and whose plan applies. It does not change who you are signed in as.
Before you start
- Who: any member. Switching changes what you see, not who you are.
- Plan: a workspace is judged by its own plan: your Personal Workspace by yours, an organization by the organization's.
- First: nothing.
Steps
- Open the workspace control right after the brand in the header.
- Choose "Personal Workspace" or an organization you belong to.
- Every screen reloads with that workspace's data, and a message says you are now working there, with "Switch back".
Result: you see and create work in the workspace you chose.
Good to know
- The control also offers "Create organization", "Manage organizations" and your invitations.
- The choice is kept in your browser, and resets to Personal Workspace when you sign out or are no longer a member.
- An organization you open that is not your workspace offers "Switch to this workspace". You can read its members and teams, but inviting, team changes, Settings and Activity wait until you switch.
If something goes wrong
- A board or project is missing: it belongs to another workspace. Switch to it.
- A module is missing in an organization: the organization or your team turned it off. See /help/organizations/organization-modules.
