Plan your week and month
Schedule on the week grid, choose which calendars show and read the month.
In short
Week shows seven days on a grid where you schedule by typing and dragging. Month shows what is on each day: its first two titles and how many more, with a legend for the colors. "Show" picks which calendars appear on both.
Before you start
- Who: anyone with Planner on. Your "Show" choice is remembered in this browser.
- Plan: Planner is part of every plan, Free included. Your plan caps the open items, calendars and cycles a workspace holds (Plan & usage shows them).
- First: nothing.
Plan your week
- Open Planner › "Week".
- Type what needs doing in the capture line above the grid, such as Sync with Sam tomorrow 10am, and press Enter.
- Drag any block to another day or time; it snaps to 15 minutes. Drag its bottom edge to change how long it lasts.
- Drag entries from the "To schedule" tray onto a day to give them a time.
Choose which calendars show
- Press "Show" in the view bar.
- Switch calendars on or off: "Mine" (your items and cards), "Team", "Test schedules", "Report schedules" and "Hiring".
- The button says how many entries are hidden. "Show all" brings them back.
Read the month
- Open Planner › "Month".
- Click a day to see it in the side panel, with its entries and "Add on this day".
- Double-click the day, press Enter, or choose "Open My day" to open it. Arrow keys move between days.
Good to know
- The week starts on the day chosen in Planner settings. The All day row stays in view while the hours scroll.
- A day's heading opens it in Today, and dots under it count that day's passed and failed runs.
- The To schedule tray holds your open entries that are overdue, due this week or undated and still have no time.
- Moving one occurrence of a repeating item moves the whole series. To change one day, give that day its own item.
- Month shows each day's first two titles, "+n more" and how many are overdue, with a color bar for the worst health; on a phone, how many there are and a dot per product. There, Show also offers Whose items: Only mine, or Everything you can see on organization calendars.
- Your Show choice is remembered in this browser.
- The views are Today, Week, Month and Plan. "Download" in the … menu saves the days on screen as Excel or PDF.
- Phone and tablet: below 768 px "Show" opens a sheet, a List or Schedule switch shows either the lanes or the hours on Today, and the Week's Grid shows one day at a time.
If something goes wrong
- You cannot drag on the month: open the day to move things.
- An entry is missing: its calendar is switched off in Show.
