See what other modules add to your day
Which cards, interviews, runs and schedules appear in Planner, and which you can move.
In short
Planner shows everything with a date from the modules you use: cards, interviews, test runs, monitors and report schedules. Nothing is stored twice - each entry is read from its module and opens there. Some can be moved from Planner.
Before you start
- Who: anyone with Planner on. Only modules switched on for you contribute, and only what you may open. Moving a card needs the right to change that card's dates in Boards.
- Plan: Planner is part of every plan, Free included. Your plan caps the open items, calendars and cycles a workspace holds (Plan & usage shows them).
- First: nothing. Nothing is stored twice; each entry opens in its module.
What appears
Bring a card in yourself
- Open the card in Boards and its Planner tab.
- Press "Schedule…" for a focus block about the card, "Add to Planner" for a task due today, or "Add to cycle".
- Or, with a record on screen, press "Add to Planner" in the Notes dock to create a task about it.
Good to know
- Only modules switched on for you contribute, and only what you may open.
- Dragging a card asks Boards to move it, as if you edited it there. It keeps its length, so its start and due date move together, and its pace and health are worked out again.
If something goes wrong
- Boards refuses a move - for example because you may not change that card's dates: Planner shows the reason and nothing changes.
- A module's entries are missing: the module is off for you, or it could not be reached - press Retry.
