Read the activity history
An append-only timeline of saved changes across the product.
In short
Activity history is an append-only timeline of saved changes across the product: who changed what, when, and which fields. You cannot edit anything in it.
Before you start
- Who: only a site admin. The Admin console is in the avatar menu of a site admin and nowhere else.
- Plan: none.
- First: nothing. The history is append-only and cannot be edited.
Steps
- Open "Admin console" › "Activity history".
- Narrow it with the Action chips (Created, Updated, Deleted, Restored) and the Area chips.
- "More filters" adds exact matches on type, field and item id.
- Click a row to see each field's value before and after.
Good to know
- A row shows when, the action, the item and its short id, the fields that changed and who did it - "System" when no person was involved.
- The log masks sensitive fields, and it records a person's own data as changed without its value.
- A row that looks wrong still records what was saved then. Fix the item itself, and the fix becomes a new row.
