Control the emails {{brand}} sends you
Turn the weekly summary, chat digest and tips on or off, and stop any email without signing in.
In short
Settings › Notifications › Emails has a switch for each email you can turn off, such as the weekly summary and the chat digest. Every such email also has a link that stops it without signing in.
Before you start
- Who: anyone signed in sets their own emails. The weekly summary goes only to administrators of an organization.
- Plan: none.
- First: nothing. Some emails cannot be turned off because they protect your account or you asked for them.
Turn an email off or on
- Open Settings › "Notifications" and find "Emails".
- Turn the email's switch off or on. It saves at once.
- For the weekly summary, you can also switch one organization under "Weekly summary by organization".
Stop one without signing in
- Open the link at the end of the email (some mail apps also show an Unsubscribe button).
- Read the page and press "Stop these emails".
- The page says what stopped. "Start them again" undoes it.
Good to know
- A stop link works for a year and stops only that email. For the weekly summary it stops one organization's summary, never your other organizations'.
- If you administer no organization, the weekly summary switch is kept for when you do.
- Some emails cannot be turned off because you asked for them or they protect your account: confirmation and reset links, invitations, security emails, hiring-team messages and scheduled reports you receive.
- An email someone sent you through {{brand}} by mistake - an invitation or a report - has "Not me, stop these emails", which stops that organization from emailing your address.
If something goes wrong
- "This link does not work": it was changed or is more than a year old. Sign in and turn the email off in Settings › Notifications.
- No weekly summary arrives: it goes only to administrators at a confirmed address, and a fully quiet week sends nothing.
