See your plan and what it includes
Which plan applies to your workspace, how the four plans differ and what changes a plan.
In short
Settings › Plan & usage shows the plan of the workspace you are in, what you have used and which features it includes, in three tabs: "Usage and limits", "Features" and "Billing". Your account and each organization have separate plans. Where payments are set up, you choose, pay for and cancel a plan here.
Before you start
- Who: anyone sees the plan of the workspace they are in. In an organization, choosing the plan and paying need "Manage billing". "Manage billing" (the payment method) is offered only to the person who pays.
- Plan: Pro is for a Personal Workspace; Business and Enterprise are for organizations.
- First: switch to the workspace the plan is for.
Choose or change a plan
- Switch to the workspace the plan is for: your personal workspace or an organization.
- Open Settings › "Plan & usage". The top line says whose plan it is, its name and price. At most one note follows it - a failed payment, read-only, a limit reached or a trial ending. Everything else sits under "Details".
- Press "Compare plans" to see the plans side by side, then "Choose a plan".
- Pay in the secure checkout of Paddle, our payment provider. Plan & usage says the payment is being confirmed and shows the plan a few seconds later.
The four plans
Free includes every module. Pro, Business and Enterprise add load testing, test traceability, scheduled monitoring, API test automation, SQL load testing and SQL production execution. Business and Enterprise also let an organization require two-step sign-in.
Trial and read-only
A new organization starts a 14-day Business trial with no card, with a reminder three days before it ends. If it ends without a subscription, the organization moves to Free when its owner still has a free-organization slot. Otherwise it becomes read-only: everyone can view, export and delete what is there, and nothing can be added until it is on a plan again. Nothing is deleted.
Seats and the seat cap
- On a plan billed per member, a paid seat is a member whose role lets them change, run or use something. Read-only members are free up to the plan's allowance - on Business, three for each paying member.
- Every change that adds a paid seat - an invitation, a new role, an approved join, a new owner - shows the price first. That part of the period is charged when the seat is taken. Nothing is sent until you confirm.
- Someone who joins by link or email domain with a role that would add a seat comes in read-only, or waits. This lasts until a billing admin approves the request on the Members tab.
- The seat cap is the most paid seats the organization may have. Open invitations count toward it; a change past it is stopped before anything is billed, and nobody already in is removed.
- A member with a paid seat in an organization that pays for Business has Pro included in their personal workspace.
Move your own Pro into an organization
A member with a paid seat in an organization that pays for Business has Pro's limits in their Personal Workspace through that seat. Paying for your own Pro as well is paying twice, so Plan & usage offers to move it.
- Choose the organization whose Business seat you hold in the header's workspace control, where "Personal Workspace" is also listed.
- Open Settings › "Plan & usage" and its "Billing" tab, and find "Move your Pro into this organization".
- Press "Move my Pro" and confirm in the dialog that opens.
- Moving ends your own Pro now. The dialog says how much of your unused Pro time goes on the organization's next bill. When it all fits, a message says your Pro moved. When only part fits, the dialog says how much is not paid back.
- Your Personal Workspace keeps Pro's limits through your Business seat.
Cancel, keep and invoices
- "Cancel plan" keeps the plan working until the end of the time already paid for and stops it renewing. Nothing you made is deleted.
- "Keep the plan" takes a cancellation back any time before that day, at no charge.
- A plan whose payment is failing ends at once when it is canceled, so the card is not tried again.
- The "Billing" tab, shown when an invoice, a seat cap or a Pro move applies, holds "Invoices": every payment with its number, day and total. "Download" opens that invoice.
- "Manage billing" - the payment method and billing details - is offered only to the person who pays. Everyone else who manages the workspace is told who that is.
- Card details are entered on Paddle's own form; {{brand}} never sees or stores them. A yearly plan sends a reminder 30 days before it renews.
Included features
The "Features" tab lists Included features and Not in this plan. A listed feature can still be off for you: switched off in Settings › Products, or by an organization's administrators. A screen your plan does not include says so and points here; what is already there stays open to view, export and delete.
If something goes wrong
- No "Choose a plan" or price: payments are not set up on this site. "Payments are not set up here yet. An administrator can change your plan." - ask your platform or organization admin.
- "Only people who manage this organization's billing can choose its plan.": ask a billing admin of the organization.
- "Pro is for a personal workspace. Switch to your personal workspace to choose it." (or "is for organizations"): switch workspace first.
- "This workspace already pays for a plan. Change it from Manage billing."
- A plan does not show right after paying: wait a few seconds. There is no need to pay twice.
