See your organization's settings from Settings
Find the organization's settings in four groups, and what you can do there when you are not an admin.
In short
While an organization is your active workspace, Settings has a group "This workspace" with a first row, "Organization settings". It lists the organization's settings in four groups, and each row opens that section on the organization's own Settings page. If you may not change them, the page says so and names who to ask.
Before you start
- Who: anyone sees the group. Only people with "Change organization settings" see the rows; everyone else sees a short notice.
- Plan: single sign-on, file storage and data location depend on the plan; the industry comparison is not on a private installation.
- First: switch to the organization in the workspace menu.
Steps
- Switch to the organization in the workspace menu. The workspace menu also offers "Organization settings" if you are an admin.
- Open Settings and choose "Organization settings" under "This workspace".
- Pick a row in one of the four groups: Profile, Products & AI, Security & data or Ownership.
- Or type in "Find a setting" above the groups - "time zone", "join links", "delete" - and pick the setting it finds. Each one opens the section that holds it.
Result: the row opens its section on the organization's Settings page, where the admin changes it.
The four groups
Good to know
- Only people who may manage the organization's settings see the rows. Everyone else sees a short notice and a link to the organization's people and teams.
- Your own Personal workspace products moved under "You" as "Personal workspace products", with a note that it changes only your Personal Workspace.
- The own file storage, the data location and the Industry comparison are not offered on a private installation.
- The rows are links: each section lives on one page, so a link you copy opens the same section for anyone who may see it.
If something goes wrong
- "Ask ... (admin)": you may not change these settings. Ask the person named, or an organization admin.
- No "Organization settings" row: you are in your Personal Workspace. Switch to the organization first.
