See where you are signed in
List your signed-in devices, sign one out, or sign out everywhere.
In short
Settings › Sign-in & security lists every browser and device signed in to your account. Sign out one you do not recognize, or sign out everywhere at once.
Before you start
- Who: anyone signed in, for their own sessions.
- Plan: none.
- First: nothing.
Steps
- Open Settings › "Sign-in & security" and find "Signed-in devices".
- Read each row: the device, "This device" for the one you use, "Last active" and a blurred network.
- Press "Sign out" beside a device you do not recognize, or "Sign out everywhere" to end every session, this one included.
- Confirm. The device is signed out within about half a minute.
Good to know
- A session lasts 12 hours unless it is ended earlier.
- When someone signs in from a browser and network your account has not used before, a confirmed address gets a "New sign-in to your account" email. It names the browser, the blurred network and the time (UTC).
- Setting a new password also signs out every device.
If something goes wrong
- A sign-in you do not recognize: sign that device out, then set a new password and turn on two-step sign-in.
- "That session has already ended.": the device was already signed out; refresh the list.
- "Your security settings could not be loaded.": refresh the page.
