Download your data or delete your account

Get a copy of what {{brand}} holds about you, or delete your account for good.

In short

You can download everything {{brand}} holds about you as one zip file, or delete your account for good. Both are under Settings › Profile › Your data.

Before you start

• Who: anyone signed in, for their own account. Deleting needs your password.
• Plan: a paid plan you hold, or an organization plan you pay for, must be canceled first. An organization you own alone must be handed over or closed.
• First: download your data first if you may want it. Deleting is final.

Download your data

1. Open Settings › "Profile" and find "Your data".
2. Press "Download my data". Gathering it can take a minute.
3. One zip file downloads, with a README and a folder of JSON files per part of the product.

Delete your account

1. Press "Delete my account".
2. Read what happens and type your password.
3. Confirm. You are signed out and returned to Home.

Good to know

• The download holds what the platform keeps about you and what you wrote, never other people's data. Uploaded files are listed by name, not included.
• Deleting is final. Everything that is yours alone is deleted. What you wrote in organizations stays there without your name.
• Your candidate profile, resume, saved roles and alerts go too. To erase only your Jobs data, use Jobs & hiring › Find work › Profile › Your Jobs data.
• The password is asked so nobody else can delete your account.

If something goes wrong

• "Your account cannot be deleted yet": the message names what to do first. Hand an organization you own alone to another owner or close it, and cancel a paid plan you hold or an organization plan you pay for in Settings › Plan & usage.
• "That password is not right.": type your current password again.
