Who can see your time

Your time is yours. What managers, reports and analytics can and cannot see.

In short

Your time is yours. In your personal workspace nobody else ever sees it. In an organization only the people whose role lets them see team time do, and the line under the timer names them.

Before you start

Check who can see your time

  1. Open "Time tracker" in the workspace you track in. The line sits under the timer card, which Today shows once it holds an entry or a running timer; on an empty Today, press "Add time" or "Start timer" first.
  2. Read the line under the timer: it says who can see the time you track here.
  3. If it names people, they see your entries in that organization.

The rules

Named people see when, how long, your description, your note and your tags. For an entry linked to a record, they see its title only if they can open that record themselves. Where your organization lets team leads approve timesheets, your team's leads and deputies are named apart: they see your time to decide your timesheets.

Site administrators People who run the platform do not see your tracked time because of that. Seeing team time is decided by the role you were given inside the organization, and nothing else.
